Track Chair Program Administrator (PT Administrative Support)

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the Track Chair program which provides access to our local parks and open spaces for individuals with mobility challenges. This position will include leading trackchair programs, reservation management, volunteer supervision, and other associated administrative duties. In conjunction with parks staff, you will also be responsible for assessing trail accessibility and working to upgrade trails to accommodate trackchairs. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to help launch this exciting program.

Job Description

This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).

Anticipated dates of employment will be March through October. The normal work schedule will include weekends and may vary based on the needs of the department. Hours worked will typically be between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 3:30pm, Wednesday through Saturday. Anticipated schedule is between 24-32 hours per week with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week, not to exceed 1,500 annually.

Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
Lead and conduct hikes using trackchairs
Transport, load, and unload equipment as well as operate a pickup truck with a trailer
Assist with volunteer recruitment and training
Overseeing volunteers during scheduled hikes
Assist with marketing and social media in regard to the program
Coordinate and assist with the maintenance of chairs
Correspondence with participants including confirmations, cancellations. and concerns
Administrative functions such as tracking statistics and routine documentation
Developing content for the program website and brochures
