Highland Trails is hiring skilled trail builders with the ability to construct mountain bike trails with excavators and other mechanized equipment. Work to be done at Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield, NH and at client locations throughout the US.

Job Description

Journeyman Two
Hours and Pay:
• Approximately 40 hours a week Bike Park seasonal.
• Option for seasonal and full-time year-round.
• Monday through Friday 7:00 am through 3:30 pm.
• Expected hourly pay $26 – $32 depending on experience.



Skills:


• Excavator experience
• Experience building and maintaining trails.
• Must be able to operate excavation equipment.
• Must have experience riding green, blue, and black mountain bike trails.
• Level One Journeyman with 1 to 5 years building Freeride and Tech trails including rollers, berms, and jumps.
• Operate machinery to build and maintain trails.
• Ability to assess and manage water flow.
• Lead a team of apprentice trail builders.
• Ability to work and plan strategy with the team leaders / Master operators.
• Must be able to work outside the machine when needed.
• Basic maintenance and repair of excavators.
• Check oils, filters, etc.
• Replace tracks, hydraulic hoses, etc., while working in the field.
• Ability to lift 60lbs off the ground.
• Ability to give direction to apprentice trail builders.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
• Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision.
• Complete tasks assigned by a Highland Trails Master Builder.
• Must know how to safely use a chainsaw and cut large trees.
• Knowledge of existing resort Bike Park trails.
