This webinar outlines this exciting trails stewardship funding opportunities available, and is intended to help members of the trail community understand these programs and offer advice and insight into how to offer a competitive application.

The National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance and American Trails are pleased to partner with the U.S. Forest Service in continuing the Trail Partners Grant Program and the Legacy Trails Grant Program. American Trails also offers a smaller grant program for stewardship projects that are not on Forest Service lands called the Trail Capacity Program. These programs support partner-led trail projects that further the Legacy Roads and Trails criteria on National Forest System trails throughout the nine Forest Service Regions, as well as project that are not on Forest Service lands. This webinar will outline these exciting trails funding opportunities, help partners understand which program may be right for their intended projects, and offer trail user specific advice and information about the types of projects that are most successful at receiving funding. Funding is open to nonprofit organizations, businesses, and local agencies supporting trails. This webinar will allow plenty of time for attendee questions so come prepared to engage with our diverse panel of representatives from many of the key trail user groups.

Learning Credits and CEUs

Learning credits will be available to attendees and are included in the registration fee. The length of the session will determine the number of hours/credits given. In order to obtain credits, attendees must fill out an evaluation survey for each session they attend, as well as complete a learning credit tracking form noting each session they are requesting credits for (or a quiz if virtual). This form (and complete instructions) will be available online as well at registration. Email the conference host or [email protected] with any questions.

American Trails is a certified provider and can offer the following learning credits and continuing education opportunities: AICP CM, LA CES (most HSW approved), NRPA CEU Equivalency Petition, and CEU/PDH Equivalency Petition for other accepting organizations.
