Adventure Safety Conference

Mark your calendar for the Adventure Safety Conference taking place October 9-10, 2027 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Adventure Safety Conference brings professionals together to advance safety and quality in adventure experiences in Asia and beyond.

The conference will provide opportunities to connect with global professionals in adventure safety and gain insights and practical tools for improving safety outcomes in the workplace and across the adventure sector.

Through workshops, a panel discussion, trainings, keynotes and networking, you can explore good safety practices, industry standards and risk management theories while building professional relationships and gaining skills and knowledge you can apply directly to your work.

Who Should Attend: The Adventure Safety Conference can be a valuable experience for anyone interested in improving safety and quality in adventure experiences, including:

- Managers, program coordinators and administrators of travel, experiential, outdoor and adventure programs
- Executive leadership, technical advisors, technical experts and Safety Committee members
- Legal, insurance, and loss control specialists
- Health, safety and security professionals
- Rescue, evacuation, and emergency services experts
- Adventure guides, instructors, facilitators and trip leaders

Pre- and Post-Conference Workshops: Pre- and post-conference workshops are optional trainings offered immediately before and after the main conference. These workshops require an additional registration fee.

- The Foundations of Adventure Safety training is a two-day, in-person course taking place October 7-8, 2027. It provides essential skills and knowledge for managing risks in adventure programs. The classroom-based training is designed for managers of outdoor, experiential or travel programs that have adventurous components.

- The Adventure Safety Leadership training is a two-day, in-person course taking place October 11-12, 2027. It is designed for instructors, trip leaders, guides, facilitators, and other leaders of outdoor, travel and adventure activities. The training helps participants understand how they can improve safety outcomes with the adventurous activities they lead.

Call for Session Proposals: Professionals with relevant experience and knowledge are invited to submit proposals for educational conference sessions. This is an opportunity to provide valuable insights, present research findings or case studies, support policy and standards development, or otherwise improve risk management in adventure experiences offered across recreation, education, tourism, therapeutic, travel or allied sectors.

Exhibitors: Organizations offering products, services, training or other resources relevant to adventure safety are invited to become an exhibitor. Exhibiting at the Adventure Safety Conference provides an opportunity to engage with leaders and decision-makers from across the adventure sector.

Sponsors: Sponsorship opportunities are available for organizations seeking to support the Adventure Safety Conference and increase their visibility among an international audience of adventure safety professionals. Sponsorship packages may include opportunities for brand recognition, conference participation and engagement with attendees.

Attendee Registration: Attendee registration opens February 1, 2027, giving participants the opportunity to secure their place at the conference, explore the program and begin planning their attendance.


Conference Location: The Adventure Safety Conference will be held at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Menam Riverside in Bangkok, Thailand. The riverside hotel is conveniently located with access to both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports. A special room rate will be available for conference attendees. Information about the room rate and booking instructions will be provided when attendee registration opens on February 1, 2027.
