Please join American Hiking Society, American Trails, Appalachian Trails Conservancy, Backcountry Horsemen of America, Partnership for the National Trails System, and other organizations leading this fight for a special and urgent Trails Town Hall on the extension of the National Parks and Public Lands Legacy Restoration Fund

Congress is quickly advancing an extension of the Legacy Restoration Fund which has provided over $9 billion in funding over the last five years to address the public lands maintenance backlog, including significant investments in trails, including the National Trails System

Leaders will provide an overview of the proposed legislation, up to the minute state of play, and how each of our organizations can make an immediate impact.

Learning Objectives:

  • Education on federal law to address public lands deferred maintenance 
  • Advocacy, outreach, and education tactics organizations and individuals and utilize
  • How to communicate about the impact of this federal fund and the need for its continuation.

Learning credits are available. The length of the session will determine the number of hours/credits given. In order to obtain credits, attendees must fill out an evaluation survey for each session they attend, as well as complete a learning credit tracking form noting each session they are requesting credits for (or a quiz if virtual). This form (and complete instructions) will be available during the live webinar or at registration when you check in for in-person events.
