Trail Crew Leader Training is a 2-day intensive workshop for trail volunteers and builders wanting to learn more about leading volunteer work crews for trail maintenance.

Destination Training: come to Old Fort, NC nestled in Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains just 25 minutes from Asheville. Trail Crew Leader 2-Day Training has been developed through over 20 years of training and leading work days. The goal is to give you a clear understanding of both trail maintenance and safely leading work crews. The coursework covers Sustainable Trail Design and Layout, Trail Construction, Trail Maintenance, Crew Leadership, Planning a Work Day, and Workday Logistics.

Each day is 1/2 classroom and 1/2 field exercises on trails in the forest
