Through this six-week program, participants gain the skills necessary to drive systemic change in their organizations. By the end of this course, participants will be well-prepared to lead transformative journeys that make outdoor spaces more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming for all.
The DEI Outdoors Practitioner Certification Course combines theory, practical application, and introspective learning to prepare participants to drive lasting change in the outdoor industry. This program includes a blend of readings, assignments, projects, and interactive sessions, allowing participants to delve into the intricacies of creating inclusive outdoor spaces. To successfully complete the course, participants should expect to dedicate 4 to 8 hours per week. View more in the course syllabus.
This course is for folks with some basic understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) concepts. Live sessions are focused on action, strategy, and practical skill development, with some educational content and resources to supplement learning. You do not need to be actively involved in DEI initiatives or employed in DEI to enroll in this course. This course is catered to help individuals build on their professional development skills to apply DEI concepts to their personal and professional lives. We welcome folks with all kinds of educational backgrounds.
