Join us for a day outdoors focusing on equipment safety and proper chainsaw operations.
Attendees will be guided through safe use and fundamental chainsaw techniques, including site inspection, starting practices, cut assessment, and best practices for on-site operation. This session will also feature hands-on opportunities to assess and make cuts. You will have the chance to use the saw and other related clearing equipment under the instructor's supervision.
•Participants who wish to try their skills should bring their saws and personal protective equipment (PPE).
•It is recommended that participants watch the recorded Chainsaw Safety & Maintenance Webinar before attending the workshop (access supplied with registration).
* All participants can receive 5 Continuing Education Units (.5 CEUs).
