This trail is an incredibly popular hike that is close to Anchorage. It has a backcountry feel to it, though it is only a 90-minute hike from the trailhead. This project rerouted long sections of trail that sat in the valley bottom, causing the trail to become saturated and undesirable to hikers. When rerouting was not possible, we constructed puncheons to get through boggy terrain.
Coordinated all logistics for the helicopter operation including load breakdowns, load rigging, determining all drop zones, and leading communications for the operation.
