Role: Contractor - Trail Design and Construction
Planning and design for a mountain bike loop at a community forest with existing hiking trails. Trained and worked with AmeriCorps crews who did most of the corridor clearing. Used a 2-ton mini-excavator to construct tread on about half of the trail loop, creating a "hybrid trail" that is a mix of "rake-and-ride" and machine-built. The mini-excavator was used where bench-cutting and banked turns were needed.
