Tennessee Valley Authority Pedestrian Bridge

2018 Harriman, TN

York Bridge Concepts™ (YBC™), in partnership with Merit Construction, proudly designed and constructed a 300-foot-long by 10-foot-wide timber pedestrian bridge for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in Harriman, TN. This custom Decero™-designed boardwalk-style bridge enhances access across TVA’s expansive federally managed property, which plays a critical role in energy production, flood control, and river navigation for over 9 million people.

Built with a carefully selected color palette and sustainable materials, this timber pedestrian bridge blends beautifully into its natural surroundings while standing up to the performance standards expected by a major federal agency. The bridge is both a functional crossing and a visual highlight within the TVA landscape — another example of YBC’s commitment to merging design with purpose.
