Backyard Trails LLC prepared a natural surface trail concept plan for the City of Marquette, Iowa to explore opportunities for shared-use singletrack on city-owned blufflands above the Mississippi River. The work included site evaluation, field research, and development of conceptual trail alignments designed to connect neighborhoods, scenic overlooks, and existing community assets. The plan outlines a sustainable trail system intended to serve hikers, runners, and mountain bikers while respecting the steep driftless terrain and natural character of the landscape. The concept provides the city with a framework for phased development, cost considerations, and long-term trail system growth.
