A model Butterfly Garden was set up in a 0.5 ha degraded forest land within the Kerala Forest research Institute Campus at Peechi to standardize methodologies to sustain butterflies in recreated habitats. Different habitats were set up by careful landscaping and introduction of appropriate host plants. Temperature varying from 24-26 degree Celsius and above 85%relative humidity.
