Role: Trail Technician
Assisted in the realignment of the popular Whittier hiking trail to a more sustainable alignment. Added a switchback to smooth out a fall line approach. Built up the tread base with drystone masonry and rip rap wall, set rising rock steps climbing out from the switchback, hardened the muddy tread with crushed rock from the area.
