2024 is my second season working with CFI to reroute Mt. Shavano's trail to the summit. I construct retaining and tundra support walls (up to 15ft tall), and build staircases and tread surface out of rock (ranging up to car-sized) through a 45-degree talus field at 13,300 feet of elevation on Mt. Shavano. I work with a crew of 6-8 people using tools such as grip hoists, rock bars, pickaxes, shovels, sledgehammers, shaping tools, and measuring tape to measure and build the trail to USFS specifications. I specialize in dry stone masonry and have experience with full-bench construction and mountain bike trail and freeride feature construction.
