John Frandsen is the Chief Product Officer for Elebase, an API-first data management platform with geospatial capabilities. Trail View is a new website service from Elebase that provides easy-to-use interactive maps for community trail organizations, municipalities, and land management agencies. He has been building applications that include geospatial capabilities since the late 1990s, before Google Maps was even a thing. He has worked as a lead on many projects for organizations involving geospatial capabilities and interactive mapping including the National Geographic Society, UNESCO and the National Park Service. Some of these projects have been award-winning, including an M&M Global Award, a US Travel Association "Best Travel Website in the US Award", a Webby Award Finalist (twice) and a Communication Arts Webpick.
