Maintenance Worker II - Trails

Duties include performing trail maintenance, trail development, blueway maintenance, setting up and taking down for special events, mowing and trimming grass, overseeing part-time and seasonal maintenance workers as well as volunteers and performing other related work as required.

Job Description

• Makes improvements to existing trail networks and constructs new trails; • Inspects and maintains existing trails and associated amenities to insure safe public use; • Performs necessary maintenance of Franklin County’s Blueways; • Provides support for special events including site preparation, set-up, take-down, and repair; • Operates trucks and motorized equipment; • Completes routine maintenance and repairs to county owned vehicles, motorized equipment, power tools, and other equipment; • Works closely with and maintains outstanding relationships with partnered organizations; • Supervises volunteers and facilitates workdays; • Performs other duties as assigned;
